HOPE Bereavement Support is open to all; we pride ourselves in our far-reaching approach.
Unfortunately, those primarily from BME communities are unable to afford or even seek therapy support due to their poor and / or lack of social and economic beginnings. We at HOPE Bereavement Support are aware that financial constraints mean that other priorities such as food and rent come first as well as providing for their families.
We as a team pledge to use all donations to HOPE Bereavement Support to help fund therapeutic support / services for those who cannot afford this vital support, with 100% of your donations goes into the work we do.
Your generous donations will help provide support and encouragement to those suffering from mental health difficulties, help beat the stigma in BME communities and raise awareness and educate, so to reduce the shame and ignorance surrounding mental health.
Too many BME communities do not receive the care and support they need in order to lead fulfilling and empowered lives. Your donation, no matter how big or small will help towards:
— Providing free counselling for those who are financially struggling.
— Providing free coaching for those who are financially struggling.
— Funding community leader / faith leader training so they are better equipped to deal with the needs of those suffering within the community.
— Funding emotional resilience workshops and events so that those who are most vulnerable will have self-help tools and resources to manage their own mental health and support others.
— Funding emotional self-awareness and mental health educational workshops and building awareness driven and wellbeing projects.
— Funding nationally based bereavement support groups to support the bereaved within the community, facilitated by qualified counsellors and HOPE befriender volunteers.
— Funding and supporting our work in reducing stigma / shame around mental health difficulties in the BME groups
— Continue to develop our inclusive and co-productive approach to help other organisations work in a more person-centered way, which is both culturally sensitive and diverse in its systematic methods of approach and provision in the services they provide.
